B&W
I have been getting some idea for some comics and I finally got a chance today to sit down and try one out. As I have not posted any comic for awhile on this journal I thought I would treat my friends list to it. Critiques/insights/Comments are appreciated.

Also been getting into this R4 thing. What has really surprised me is the ability to play the old NES and SNES games on my DS it sure has taken me back down memory lane. Some games can have a few bugs in them and they are not always perfect but it is fun all the same. Two games that I was particularly happy to be playing again were ‘Ducktales’ on the NES and ‘Earthworm Jim’ on the SNES. Those old platform games are hard!

Looking forward to seeing more of this story/comic. I have no critiques other than in the text on the second panel, it looks bad to have to extend the text box after the word "seem".

Yeah it does, thanks for pointing that out. I have been trying really hard to do better lettering. I this instance I was trying to stop the text from running into the side, it may look better to just have it close though.

I do not want to be critical over such a small thing. Not to say that lettering is a minor contribution to the comic. Sometimes lettering can set the tone for a comic if it is not forced too much. Bad lettering can break a comic, but good lettering is mainly suppose to go unnoticed. In this case, it was not really much of a problem. One thing when I drew my last comic, I knew I was scanning it it. When I messed up on lettering on one panel, I fixed it after I scanned it by still using the hand lettering but moving it over a bit for better spacing. My hand writing in my most recent comic was better than my earlier comics. In my earlier comics I found a "handwritten" font instead.

you are right though it is these small things that matter, one little typo or badly lettered word then it throws the whole thing. you have to be vigilant as it is hard not to let things slide

Also my idea is to have these singular comics that are these philosophical musings, but I guess they may have threads run throughout them. This was actually a special preview as the rest of these style comics will be for a book down the track. Glad you liked it though.

I kind of got that feeling that was the case.
